Why have you decided to learn to code?
Because coding is fun and gives you room to provide so many solutions hence giving you a very open mind.
Do you think its important to learn to code?
Yes I think it's very important.
Do you feel the tech industry is male dominated? How can we encourage more women into the industry?
Yes I do feel it is male dominated.
I believe we can encourage more women to start a career in tech through:
Providing mentorship and networking opportunities that can help them build relationships with other professionals in the field and receive guidance on career development.
Addressing unconscious bias in the hiring and promotion processes can help ensure that women are given equal opportunities to succeed in the tech industry.
Did you struggle being a woman in the tech industry yourself?
Yes I have. Because people undermine me based on gender but I have managed to overcome.
Whats the most rewarding and most challenging parts of your tech career so far?
The most rewarding part has been seeing the impact of my work on the end-users. Being able to create a product that solves a problem or makes someone's life easier is incredibly satisfying. Additionally, being a part of a community that supports and encourages women in tech has been very fulfilling. It's amazing to see how we can empower each other to overcome challenges and achieve our goals.
The most challenging part of my tech career has been keeping up with the rapid pace of change in the industry. The Android platform and development tools are constantly evolving, and it can be difficult to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements. However, overcoming these challenges has also been very rewarding, as it has helped me develop new skills and learn to be more adaptable and creative in finding solutions.
